Cafe La Veranda
Just as Kevin took his seat opposite Philip at their usual table in the middle of the Cafe, the waitress arrived with their usual orders of two cups of cappuccino, a blueberry muffin and two croissants. It was same cute waitress again. This around, she'd left her hair open. Not that Kevin was complaining. He made a mental note to ask her name sometime.
"So, how was your week?" Philip asked, sounding casual and routine. Kevin understood. They'd have to make small talk until the waitress left.

The Kidnappers Private Limited - Chapter Seven
Six Years Ago
Sarah Altman wasnt by any measure, the most attractive girl on campus. In fact, after watching skimpy clad, atlethic blondes who did nothing more than swivel around, baiting eager guys, most wouldn't have bothered to glance at her twice.
Yet she had the sort of charm which seemed make her the official link between a cupid struck guy and the girl he was hoping to date. She would give them the help they needed. An introduction, or perhaps just a mention. Maybe a phone number. Anything that'd help them get their date.

The Kidnappers Private Limited - Chapter Six
[Synopsis: The Kidnappers Private Limited - consisting of Mark, Ben, James, Richard, Tim and Alex - kidnap a man named Herb Seigler, without him knowing about it. The kidnapping goes wrong when Herb dies due to their mistake, and they're targeted by Hector Cotridge, a rich business man who gives them the task of kidnapping five men - their way. They plan to kidnap the first victim, a 19 year old named Alex Passon,by making him believe they're helping him elope. What they dont know is Jennifer, Alex's girlfriend, has decided to break up.]
Alex Passon was smarter than your average C - grade earning adolescent. He was bright in class, and charming outside. In fact, on any other day, he would've noticed that something was amiss. Like the fact that Roger and his friends seemed to drop their accents once in a while. Or that Jennifer had never mentioned she had six cousins instead of just one.
He had assumed they would be staying at someone's house. Instead, they checked into a quiet, three star hotel. The kind which never attracted much attention because it was neither too posh, nor too shady. Had he been paying attention, he'd have noticed Roger paying in cash instead of a credit card.
But Alex Passon was in love. All he could think about as he sat in the van for about two hours was Jennifer. They could've taken him to a cave and he wouldn't have bothered.

From - Alex Passon
To - Jennifer Wilkinson
Hey...
....I know it's been long since I messaged you. Sorry about that. Things have just been so screwed up for the past one week here. Had a fight with my dad yesterday. He kept screaming that I was a disgrace to the Passon family. I didn't scream back, just like you promised me not to. But....it's getting harder Jen. I dont know how long I can bear all for this....I'm sorry for this mess. I love you. Like crazy. And sometimes I wish we could just get away and never care about my parents....

The Kidnappers Private Limited - Chapter Four
Cafe La Veranda
"Do you know what the best thing about The Kidnappers Private Limited were?" Philip asked. It was their eighth meeting now, and the Cafe looked more familiar than his living room.
"I'm guessing its not their name?" Kevin remarked mischeviously, smiling at the waitress. She looked cute in her white and black uniform and pony tailed hairstyle. A plate of blueberry muffins were placed on the table, followed by two cups of cappuccinno.
"No," Philip replied quickly. "How was your day?" He asked.
Kevin understood. Philip had been very particular about secrecy. They had agreed not to talk about the KPL in front of others - which, in this case included the cute waitress. He decided to continue the mundane conversation.

Mark Hanson looked at the five men sitting around him in the darkened waiting room. No one had spoken for over ten minutes now.
Alex and Tim sat together, staring at the floor without saying a word. They always stuck together, whereever they went. Whatever happened.
Ben sat alone in one corner, his legs placed on the adjacent seat. Even now, he wore a look of disinterest. Richard, meanwhile, had his face buried in his hands ; Mark wondered what was going on through his mind.
James continued pacing around, blowing smoke rings as he walked. They'd told him to quit a million times. And a million times he told them to mind their own business. Not in such polite terms, of course.

"Wait, I don't get it," Kevin said, as he took his seat opposite Philip at Cafe La Veranda. It had been a week since they last met, and there were several questions Kevin had wanted to ask.
"Wait, I don't get it," Kevin said, as he took his seat opposite Philip at Cafe La Veranda. It had been a week since they last met, and there were several questions Kevin had wanted to ask.
"Hold on," Philip said, as he turned aside to the waitress. "Two cups of cappuccino. A blueberry muffin for me. Two croissants for him. Right?" He looked at Kevin.
Over the course of half a dozen meetings, they had become cordial friends, to say the least. Meeting at the Cafe had turned into a small tradition, one which they kept without fail.
"Yah, as I was saying. I couldn't understand something. Why would these six men - what do they call themselves? -"
"The Kidnappers Private Limited," Philip replied.
"Ah, yes, the Kidnappers. Why did they set up such an elaborate plan to kidnap Herb Seigler? Why not just kidnap him?"
